I was skeptical about the walnut notes, but they really do come through beautifully with the burnt sugar syrup. The house-made muscovado adds just the right depth without being overly sweet.

The caramel note in this latte is what keeps me coming back, it tastes like actual burnt sugar rather than the fake syrup stuff. I order it iced even in winter because the muscovado syrup holds up better cold.

I didn't expect the burnt sugar to come through so clearly, but it balances the espresso's cocoa notes without tasting syrupy. It's my new afternoon pick-me-up over ice.
