Blueberry & Vanilla Custard Brioche

The vanilla pastry cream filling is perfectly smooth and not too sweet, and the fresh blueberries add a nice tart pop. I heated mine for about ten seconds and the brioche became incredibly soft. Definitely ordering this again for next weekend's treat.

The shortbread crumble on top stayed buttery and crisp even after a day in the fridge, which surprised me. That contrast with the soft brioche and the fresh blueberries on top made every bite feel a little different.

The vanilla custard filling is wonderfully creamy and not too sweet, and the fresh blueberries on top add a nice tart pop. I just wish the brioche bun itself was a bit softer, as it was slightly dry by the second day. Still, it's a lovely treat when you want something fancier than a standard pastry.
